Anton Paar Stage - BTS 500
Anton Paar heating stage (BTS 500 - Benchtop Heating Stage) is a non-ambient sample stage for X-ray powder diffraction that allows temperature-controlled experiments. The sample chamber is mounted on the goniometer instead of the standard (ambient) sample holder to heat the sample to a defined temperature while scanning it with X-rays.
BTS 500 enables X-ray scans to be performed from ambient temperature to 500 °C. The sample can be heated in a vacuum or a different gas atmosphere.
The sample temperature is controlled by an integrated control unit equipped with a keypad.

Sample stage service
Like many other things, the Anton Paar heating stage requires regular inspection and service. The fixing clamps can be uncrewed, and the Kapton foil can be removed. Clean or replace the Kapton foil if necessary. Inspect the chamber for deposits. Clean the surroundings with cotton swabs and IPA, if necessary.
