GIF apertures are not responding

From time to time, there might be some issues with the GIF apertures not responding and moving. If this is the case, try the following:

  1. Close the software "Filter Control" and "DM" on the microscope PC.
  2. Go to the cabinet back of the microscope, where the controlers for the CCD cameras and GIF are (see image).
  3. Switch off the main power supply at the bottom (GIF electronics; right above the OneView controler).
  4. Wait 10s
  5. Switch the power back on.
  6. Make sure the two CCD controlers don't show an error (orange LED above RESET); if they do, press "Reset").
  7. Start "Filter Control" and "DM" on the microscope PC.
