Survey introduction

The November 2017 survey was the 17th survey carried out using a format where individual cleanroom users were asked about their view on various parts of using DTU Danchip's facilities and in particular the cleanroom facilities.

The questionnaire was send to 82 registered users (based on the logging of cleanroom use with more that 10 hours usage/booking) unfortunately 1 of the e-mail adresses was obsolete and thus the mails bounced, which brought the total number of potential answers to 81 . In total an answer fraction of 23%.

This page deals with the comments given as part of the questionnaire. Danchip values this feedback highly.

I think a new sputter chamber, a "dirty" thermal evaporator and some new "dirty" furnaces could be very useful.

It is annoying to have a open sink in fumehood, which is primarly used for spin coater bowls cleaning. It just steal space.There are things that can be annoying but rather small, so Danchip don't put much attention to them. But if I could share this with other cleanroom users, and many of them will support the idea, then Danchip will do something. I am interested to see a platform for feature suggestion and bug reports. I also don't like handling of anti-acid suits. 3-4 suits on one hook, without difference between outer or inner side - I consider this dangerous. I also think that suits shouldn't hang on people walking way.

Some equipment like the SEM Quanta are heavily booked, which is understandable, but there are times where users have multiple bookings. This can make finding a booking somewhat of an impossible feat and most of the time i end up using the machine after hours. Would be nice if there was a bit more control in the number of bookings one can have, at least for some of the more popular equipment.

I greatly advice that the availability for trainings and access to the clean room should be more often at the beginning of the semester because we are a lot of new members which only lose one month where we could take advantage of our time instead of just waiting for getting access to all the machines and for getting acces to the cleanroom.

I have had a lot of trouble with not being able to know when I can use the fumehood for dirty BHF. I would like it to be possible to book this fumehood and the fumehood for resist strip and lift-off. There could also be restrictions on how long time you can use it or leave chemicals there.
