An error message about retraction or insertion of the camera in GMS (Digital Micrograph) can point towards a communication/connection problem to the hardware controller. It typically comes together with an IP-address in the error message (siehe example screen shots).<br />

If this is the case, try the following procedure:<br />
* Accept the error message and close GMS<br />
* Go to the bottom rack behind the monitors (behind the table)<br />
* Open the front door of the rack (push the two lock mechanisms towards the center and remove the door)<br />
* At the very bottom is the Gatan controller for the OneView camera<br />
* Hold a finger on the blue lighting Gatan logo (it is a sensor button, not a mechanical button) --> the controller will switch off<br />
* Wait a few seconds and re-start the controller (finger on the sensor button)<br />
* Close the front door and re-start GMS</div>
